The EGR Tech Camps are a week-long extravaganza of exciting project-based learning with technology. From games to robots to 3D printed objects, tech camp students have fun learning while experimenting with hands-on STEM projects.
EGR Tech Camps are designed for students entering grades 3 - 6 in the fall of 2020. Choose the classes that fit you best to design your ideal week!
Learn the basics of game-making with Scratch! This course is excellent for students who have never done any programming with Scratch.
Create an advanced RPG (Legend of Zelda-style) game using Scratch! Great for students who have used Scratch before.
Learn the basics of coding with robots on paper and online. This course is geared towards beginners, but is open to anyone who wants to have fun with robots!
Learn coding and robotics by exploring with a “Dash” robot! We will learn to code, build and solve challenges, and more! Suitable for all students with or without robotics and coding experience.
Learn to design and create 3D objects in Tinkercad. Students even get to take home a custom 3D printed object of their own! Suitable for all experience levels.
Come have fun and explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with challenging and engaging STEM projects! Suitable for all ages and abilities.
The camps are open to elementary students entering grades 3 - 6 (inside or outside of East Grand Rapids) who have an interest in science and technology.
$89 per class
July 13 - 16, 2020. Classes are each 55 minutes long and run from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

We ask that students bring a laptop for the Scratch and 3D printing classes. A mouse (instead of the trackpad) is strongly recommended for students taking the 3D printing class.
